This Artist Turns Packaging Boxes into Art

Jul 24, 2019

Some people are so talented and creative that their work reflects the fact that there no limit to imagination. One such artist named Haruki creates  packaging boxes with waste.

With the increasing amount of waste, we need to come up with some inventive ways to solve this problem. 2000 landfills are open in the US and about half of the waste is not recycled. Every effort counts and not every problem needs high-tech solutions.

Haruki-'sensei' is truly the star of his craft. Not only  his works are inspiring but the sculptures are also random.

The process is to cut, cut and cut again then fold.

The words that are used to define this type of art are 'Kiries' and 'Kirigami' meaning the art of cutting paper. Kirigami is a form of paper art and a not-so-distant cousin of origami. The name comes from the Japanese words "kiru" (to cut) and "kami" (paper).
