Jul 26, 2019

The popular fashion brand Forever 21 is currently facing outrage on social media after customers buying plus size clothes complained that they are receiving diet bars with the purchases. Many users online slammed the company for “fat-shaming” and encouraging “eating disorders” by selectively sending diet bar to clients of a certain size. Taking to Twitter, @jessemarisaelao wrote “My mom ordered some clothes from @Forever21 ‘s plus-size collection and they sent an Atkins diet bar along with the stuff she ordered,”.

Another angry user @MissGirlGames, tweeted, What are you trying to Tell me Forever 21, I’m fat, lose weight?”

She further went on to inquire if “non-plus size” women were also receiving diet bars. Hey @forever21 do you include weightloss Atkin bars in all your shipments or just in the ones for ladies over 1X ??Surprisingly, other users clarified that the company sends out diet bars along with all its orders and not just to plus sizes.
