Nowadays celebrating V-Day is a big affair. Estimates say that over billions are spent on candies, cakes, teddies, chocolates etc on Valentine's Day often this is called the ‘Archies’ phenomenon because the card company did huge business on this day earlier.
V-day started with the Romans
History says Roman Emperor Claudius II did not allow his young army men to marry and in the spirit of love St. Valentine they performed secret marriages. It was due to this that Valentine's Day was executed on February 14, his death anniversary.
