Internet Outage Hits Major Websites

On Tuesday, multiple outages hit websites all over the globe. From news portals to social networking sites some major websites like Reddit and Amazon were down. Netizens were not able to access these platforms, raising alarm on Twitter, and soon enough this created a buzz online.

Some websites operated by News Portals, including the Financial Times, the Guardian, the New York Times, CNN, were down. Famous platforms like Twitch, Spotify, Hulu, HBO Max, and Pinterest also saw impacts. People were welcomed with “Error 503 Service Una

As per reports, cloud computing provider Fastly, which underpins a lot of major websites, said it was behind the outage. The firm said there were issues with its global content delivery network (CDN) and was implementing a fix. Websites began to restore, after around an hour of downtime.

Like always this sudden outage sparked memes and jokes online. #InternetShutdown, #InternetDown and #Error503 was trending on Twitter.
