Mary Y Sol is the manicurist behind those Met Gala nails

Remember Elle Fanning’s burger fries and Colgate nails that she wore on Met Gala 2019? The artist behind it was Mary Y Sol. She did Sinéad Burke’s crystal nails. She is amazing at her work, often a celebrity’s hairstylist and makeup artist is known. However, just as important as hair or face is the manicure on the hands of and Mary Y is there to make them gorgeous.
Inzerillo was the first manicurist to launch a nail product for CoverGirl and, of course, the iconic manicure of Gigi Hadid at the MET gala.
It takes a team to make a look, and Inzerillo worked closely with Fanning’s makeup artist, hair stylist, and wardrobe styles to make bring the vision to life.
The artist said: “The theme of ‘Camp’ is such a fun one to get creative with, so why not go the extra mile and pierce those pink nails and add vintage charms,”
Her portfolio of clients, include artists like Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato or Ricky Martin, and supermodels like Gisele Bündchen, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Gigi Hadid, or Ashley Graham.
The talented pro has more than 500 magazine credits to her name and has traveled as far as the United Arab Emirates, Japan, China, England, France, Canada, Mexico and even Cuba to do nails.
