This Math Equation has left Netizens Puzzled

This is not for the first time that a simple mind game has left people scratching their heads. Earlier too many such puzzle have resulted into floods of reactions and this time again a simple math equation is making people go crazy. A twitter user @pjmdolI wrote “solve this”, though it looked easy but many were not able to complete the task. The user also gave an answer to it but many did not find it correct and thus came up with different solutions.

The parenthesis in this case stands for multiplication, rewriting it would just be 8/2*4
