They were discovered by locals and they prefer to call it electric mushrooms. The scientific name given to them is Roridomyces phyllostachydis.
They grow well in moist and humid environment and are also fragile.
An interesting fact is that locals use these mushrooms as a natural torch while navigating through the forest.
Glowing mushrooms have also been found in Maharashtra, Goa and Kerala.
