• Throwing coins in a fountain

Kids are taught to throw a coin whenever they pass a fountain. It is believed that god will bless them but the only thing they are polluting is the water.
• Blowing birthday candles

It is a weird tradition; no one knows how it started. We still follow it because it is perceived that blowing candles and making a wish, will make that wish come true. However what everyone gets is a germs from the person blowing them!
