Who does not like compliments but what if they are actually not given in a nice way? There are some things that we do hear commonly but do not realise they are actually patronising and mean in nature. Here are some of the compliments that are actually insulting and you should not be using them either.

'You are strong for a girl'

'You drive really well for a woman'

'This hairstyle looks way better on you'

'Wow you lost weight! It took a long time but you did it!'

'You are gorgeous, why are you still single?'

'You should smile more'

'You look better without makeup'

You look like a boy/girl in this outfit!'
